City of London now accepting applications for Capital grants

The City of London is inviting local not-for-profit organizations to apply for Capital grants through the 2026 City of London Community Grants Program. The application deadline is Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at 12 p.m.

This grant is designed for local not-for-profit organizations to expand their programs and services through capital renovations or land and facility purchases, directly benefiting Londoners by enhancing access to vital resources and opportunities. By supporting the growth of these initiatives, we can foster stronger communities, improve quality of life, and create lasting positive impact throughout the city.

This year, $250,000 is available for Capital projects only. A $50,000 cap will be placed on all grants allocated to ensure broad impact.

About Capital grants

Capital grants are provided for projects that involve construction or the purchase of physical assets, including but not limited to, land, building and associated renovation costs that support increasing program/service space.

All grant applications are assessed based on their alignment with the City of London’s Strategic Plan, a demonstrated need for the project in the community, the cost and effectiveness of the project and the project’s contribution to the quality of life in the community.

Information sessions

To learn more about the 2026 City of London Community Grants Program, attend one of the virtual information sessions being held on Tuesday, February 17, from 5 – 7 p.m. or Tuesday, February 24, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

No registration is required, simply go to london.ca/CommunityGrants shortly before the webinar begins and click the link to join.

For those unable to attend, a pre-recorded informational video will also be available on the site.

Individual application 30-minute consultation meetings

Applicants can book a 30-minute time slot with City staff to discuss their applications, receive recommendations, and get support.

All sessions will be held in-person at Carling Heights Optimist Community Centre (656 Elizabeth St.). The following dates and times are available for booking:

• Thursday, February 26, from 3:30 – 7 p.m.
• Tuesday, March 3, from 3:30 – 7 p.m.
• Tuesday, March 10, from 3:30 – 7 p.m.
